Our Story: How howAIdo Started

The howAIdo team came together because we all noticed the same problem: people were confused and frustrated by AI.

We’re five people with different expertise, and we kept having the same conversation. People we knew—smart, capable friends, colleagues, and students—were hearing incredible hype about ChatGPT, AI image generators, and automation tools. However, when they attempted to utilize these tools, they encountered obstacles. The tutorials were too technical. The tools seemed designed for programmers. And the marketing around AI felt dishonest.

So we decided to fix that.

Meet the Team

Alex Rivera is a creative technologist who helps people use AI as a brainstorming partner and content generation tool. Alex realized that people weren’t seeing AI as empowering—they were seeing it as replacing their creativity. That’s backwards. Alex’s focus: show people how AI amplifies human creativity, not diminishes it.

James Carter is a productivity coach obsessed with helping people save time and work smarter. When AI tools started emerging, James saw an opportunity to help people reclaim hours in their week. But there was a gap: people didn’t know how to actually integrate these tools into real work. That’s what James tackles—practical, actionable AI strategies for real people.

Nadia Chen brings expertise in AI ethics and digital safety. While others were rushing to use AI, Nadia was asking, “But is it safe? What about privacy? How do we use the technology responsibly?” We realized that “practical” and “safe” had to go together. Nadia makes sure we’re honest about AI’s risks, not just its benefits.

Rihab Ahmed is an educator and lifelong learner who uses AI to study and learn more effectively. Rihab understood that students and learners have unique needs—they require tools that help them understand, not just give them answers. That perspective shaped how we talk about learning with AI.

Abir Benali is a technology writer with a gift for making complex tools simple. When everyone else was using jargon, Abir asked, “But can a regular person actually understand this?” That voice influences our work—clear, jargon-free, and human.
